Dental Hygienist

The Position
We are looking for a registered dental hygienist that is empathetic, loves to come to work, and a positive impactful team player.  We want you to be heavily committed to patient experience, the growth of the practice, and the protection of the Better Smile brand.

The team member must be:

The requirements + duties:

  • Dental experience [2 years or more preferred]
  • Knowledge of EagleSoft dental software is a plus
  • Obtain medical histories
  • Administer local anesthetics for hygiene procedures as directed by dentist
  • Comprehensive charting, as well as Perio charting [as needed]
  • Accurate communication notations in electronic format
  • Perform basic hygiene procedures, topical fluoride sealant application, as well as scaling and root planning,
  • Explain oral hygiene instructions, nutritional counseling
  • Breakdown hygiene room following accepted infection control standards
  • Clean hygiene instruments
  • Set up treatment rooms for next patients

The requirements:

  • Knowledge of dental instruments, materials, proper cleaning, and sterilization techniques required.
  • Knowledge and/or proficient in EagleSoft dental software is a plus.
  • Proficient in taking digital x-rays, impressions.
  • Must have excellent grammar and communication skills.

  • Daily procedures include:
    • Comprehensive, full mouth exams.
    • Diagnose conditions
    • Assess + discuss treatment planning options with patient[s]
    • Provide comprehensive treatment plan[s]
    • Educate patients on oral health
    • Carry out agreed clinical treatment[s]
    • Maintain patient’s medical records [digitally]
    • Restorations (fillins)
    • Crowns, bridge and core build ups (veneers, onlays, inlays)
    • Extractions
    • Removable prosthodontics
    • Providing comprehensive treatment plans
  • Assist in recruiting, training and management of staff
  • Continued attention to dentistry: new procedures, technologies and techniques.

The Position

  • Oversee and manage all office[s] personnel, protocols, and procedures, so that the office[s] run smoothly and efficiently
  • Manage all office[s] statistics
  • Coordinate treatment and scheduling
  • Schedule financial arrangements
  • Budget[s]: Monitor and control inventory and expenses of office[s]
  • Accounts Receivable:  Monitor billing of office[s]
  • Supervise and assign tasks to clinical personnel during available down-times
  • Hire, train and/or motivate staff to be patient centered
  • Plan company events
